Fire and Ice!

Again, another snippet from the past. I remember writing this after watching a dance performance on tv and for some reason it just inspired me. If you do happen to read this, let me know your thoughts.

⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯

They were fire and ice
The elements that are forbidden to each other

Love happened and the rules were forgotten.

They were the polar opposites of each other
In every possible aspect
Yet they saw perfection in each other

Love happened and the rules were forgotten.

She was the fire
Filled with fury and emotions
The one who never fit into other’s lives
And he was the ice
Empty except for calmness and coldness
The one who fit into her life

Love happened and the rules were forgotten.

He would cool her fury down
And she would fire him up with emotions
Each exchanged their traits
And found happiness in each other

Love happened and the rules were forgotten.

None saw the approaching consequences
Of their irrevocable love for each other
None saw the upcoming pain
Each had to gain

Love happened and the rules were forgotten.

Fire and ice don’t mix well
Smoke is what arose well

Love happened and the rules were forgotten.

They were too close
So close that they began to erase each other’s existence
Too late is when they realized what was happening

Love happened and the rules were forgotten.

They flew apart from each other
Not because they cared about themselves
But because they cared for the other

Love happened and the rules were forgotten.

But the damage was done
And the clock was ticking
He started to melt
She began to suffocate

Love happened and the rules were forgotten.

They knew that it was the end
And decided to end it together
With each next to the other

Love happened and the rules were forgotten.
